PR Account Manager

This is not your typical PR position. Periscope is seeking a PR Account Manager who will not only support Periscope’s roster of acclaimed brand partners but who will also play an integral role on the business development team, supporting Periscope agency visibility efforts and new business pitches. The individual who fits this role will be smart, self-motivated, quick on their feet and good at research, writing and paring down data into a few key takeaways. Applicants should also be energized by new opportunities and challenges and enjoy paving new paths. In the ebb and flow of new business opportunities and as a part of the growing Periscope PR arm, this PR account manager will need to be very organized, adaptable and be able to flex into many different situations, teams and campaigns.

This dynamic role presents an exciting chance to help execute communications programs for a variety of clients, while also collaborating with top marketing experts across all of Periscope’s full spectrum of creative disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Act as key member of the business development and Periscope brand PR and marketing team
  • Write compelling content for Periscope website and social channels
  • Draft attention-grabbing, concise reporter pitches and press releases
  • Act as an account manager on select PR clients
  • Help execute strategic communications campaigns including proactive media relations, digital and social content projects, events and more
  • Assist in the development of campaign ideas, press materials, pitches, client messaging and thought leadership programs

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A passion for excellence!
  • Undergraduate degree
  • PR or marketing experience preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience executing strategic PR campaigns within an agency or dynamic organization in which you collaborated across teams
  • Track record of success executing media relations
  • Digital and social media savvy
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Skilled storyteller with the ability to pitch proactively, build media relationships and find and engage a target audience through both traditional and new media
  • Proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Exceptional time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Passion, integrity and excitement for working with industry-leading teams and clients
