Broadcast Coordinator

NOTE: This is not an entry-level marketing or advertising position.  The ideal candidate is highly comfortable playing an administrative support role.

We’re looking for a Broadcast Coordinator to join our team! Our broadcast team negotiates deals with radio and TV stations across the country on behalf of our clients. We place commercial schedules on these stations and this coordinator supports and assists in managing work flow for these schedules across traditional and digital channels. As a key member of the Investment team, you’ll use your sharp eye for detail, affinity for numbers and ability to clearly communicate across a variety of levels and channels to steward media buys for radio and TV, manage custom content integration and cross-platform deals.

ABOUT THE GIG:

  • Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Work closely with a team of broadcast buyers to help manage workflow and keep projects on track and on time
  • Assist buyers in maintaining media schedules
  • Work with buyers, planners and accounting to insure station invoices are processed in a timely manner
  • Monitor broadcast schedules and communicate with buyers to keep schedules up to date
  • Navigate through our media systems
  • Creation, review, and manipulation of reports and documents
  • Perform other duties from time to time to meet the changing needs of the agency

  • An ideal candidate will have a history in support of a sales or marketing team, but may be looking for a role within the exciting, ever changing, world of advertising
  • A creative and resourceful problem-solver who doesn’t shy away from challenging situations and conversations
  • An organized multitasker who embraces change as the norm with the ability to adapt to meet client objectives under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable in a support role but able to confidently take the reins when necessary
  • A self-starter who can find answers to questions from reputable sources
  • Collaborative at the core and eager to contribute within an integrated team environment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated ability to handle high stress situations with effective results
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with complex numerical situations
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel 
  • Desire to learn, be continually challenged and grow
  • Familiarity with marketing, communications, or related field
  • An associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
