Human Resources Manager


The Human Resources Manager is responsible for carrying out several HR related duties and projects. While working with all departments within the agency, the HR Manager helps ensure employees have the tools, training, and support necessary to Do Things People Love.  Responsibilities fall in a variety of categories including, but not limited to: recruiting, employee relations, benefit administration, system reporting, employee engagement, education and training.


  • Works with managers to determine departmental staffing needs and works to recruit top industry talent to meet those needs. The process can include helping with job description writing, job posting, candidate screening, scheduling and interviewing
  • Serves as main point of contact between hiring team and candidates all throughout the staffing process.
  • Works to continually build candidate pipeline
  • Assists with yearly benefit plan testing 
  • Supports the planning and execution of employee and client-related events, as well as agency volunteer opportunities
  • Conducts new employee orientation sessions
  • Educates employees on benefit programs and serves as first point of contact to answer benefit related questions
  • Educates employees on Leave Of Absence policies and walks them through the leave process
  • Prepares, updates and recommends human resources policies and procedures
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements
  • Generates ad hoc reporting as requested
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Completes other duties as assigned, to meet the changing needs of Periscope

Education/Experience preferred:

  • Minimum 3-5 years Human Resource experience
  • Knowledge of duties and responsibilities of positions within an advertising agency
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred), review systems (SuccesssFactors preferred) and applicant tracking systems (Jazz preferred)
