User Experience Designer

The User Experience Designer is a curious and creative force in the field of user experience design, information architecture and usability analysis, and brings analytical strategy-led designs to every project. Sometimes called an Information Architect, this person works across a variety of clients, sometimes on a consultant basis to the rest of the team and sometimes taking the lead, and possesses excellent communication skills. This is a person who puts critical thinking and empathy first. Visual design skills are not an expected deliverable of this role, but will be put to GREAT use with the right candidate.


User Experience

  • Understands the user-centered design process with hands-on experience in all stages of the digital process: Site Objectives / User Needs; Functional Specs / Content Requirements; IA / Interaction Design; Information Design; Visual Design
  • Develop web/mobile architecture and designs that support client business needs and optimize user-experience
  • Work as a bridge between Connected Experience Strategy & Creative, to produce architecture and wireframes (and visual design, if you’re a unicorn)
  • Responsible for advising on best practices for interface designs, producing wireframes for a variety of projects, and validating deliverables from third party Information Architects and UX Designers.
  • Strong understanding of Web Standards, Cross Browser Support, and Web Accessibility
  • Provides UX design consultation to the agency and its clients

  • Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, web standards, cross browser support, accessibility, etc
  • Working knowledge of Adobe design tools: Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Advanced knowledge of IA and site mapping tools
  • B.F.A. or B.S. in humanities, anthropology, sociology or information systems, preferably from a design-centric institution, or equivalent years of professional experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the user experience discipline
