Application Administrator

The Application Administrator is responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining and supporting a variety of applications used in conjunction with agency business processes and critical systems. This role will act as subject matter expert (SME) for a variety of third-party applications, and will help determine the best application solution to meet specific client or internal business needs. 

In addition to administration, the Application Administrator will be responsible for the establishment and execution of best practices and procedures around various aspects of business data and data hygiene for both Periscope and our clients.

  • Act as data hygiene lead and SME for internal clients, including training, problem solving and project planning
  • Strong leadership skills; comfortable managing large cross-functional teams to define, influence and impact technical direction and execution
  • Capable of exercising independent judgment and recognizing critical financial impact to the agency
  • Work with internal clients to perform end-user testing of modifications to third-party applications
  • Strong analytic capability with proven ability to determine root causes from symptoms, and define root requirements for prescribed solutions
  • Drive reporting enhancements, standardization, and efficiency initiatives
  • Craft scalable and flexible reporting and data architectures
  • Monitor internal and external data environments for development of new agency processes
  • Identify and document current and potential data sources and data flows
  • Maintain roadmap of projects for improving agency efficiencies and data architecture
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • 5-7 years of application administration experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, mixed, etc.)
  • Experience administering work/project management software, data visualization, CRM and file sharing/management (Workfront, Tableau, Salesforce, Dropbox, etc.)
  • Excellent track record of self-direction and independence
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
